What is Geocaching?

Geocaching is a new type of hobby that is fun for everyone! Borrow one of our handheld GPS devices and find hidden caches/treasures in hidden locations all over Manson and Chelan. This treasure hunt activity ranges in difficultiy levels. It could be as easy as driving somewhere or as difficult as taking a hike to get an amazing view of the area.

When you finally reach your destination, you will have to look for the cache box which has all sorts of small treasures that other people have added to the collection. Make sure you bring your small gift to contribute to the box.

Afterwards, sign the log book and go to your next cache box destination. At the end of your adventurous day, go online to www.geocaching.com and share your experiences about the trips you took. Even upload a picture!

We have GPS devices available to all of our guests for a small price. The staff will help you setup your device and get you a list of all of the local geocache locations and their difficulty level so you can get started on your Geocaching Trip immidiately.
